Queens Park Community Council have launched a new website to help promote the Council's work to a wider audience.
The website is intended to provide information about the local area covered by the Council, in Swindon, Wiltshire and to become a resource for planning application information, local events of interest and to provide history about the area for both residents both new and old.
Local Community Councils are becoming more popular and important as Government and Local Government becomes seemingly further and further removed from those who's wishes that were elected to represent.
Netintent.co.uk Limited were very pleased to be involved with the design and development of the Queens Park Community Council website as a way of becoming more involved with local concerns and issues.
Director Julian Baldry said 'Many community councils rely on meetings and hard-copy newsletters to deliver their information and help people become more involved with issues that relate directly to them. This works well to an extent but, as more and more people turn to the Internet for their information, it's important that such organisations maintain a healthy and accessible web presence.
With this in mind we wanted to get involved with our local area community council and work with them to achieve this.'
